Idyllic Urjala offers culture and nature experiences for all tastes
Idyllic town of Urjala is known for the Nuutajärvi Glass Village and its long glass-blowing tradition, the childhood landscapes of the great Finnish writer Väinö Linna, splendour of flowers and the beautiful manor houses. Many people have summer houses and second homes in Urjala, and the Urjala open-air market is a lively meeting place, especially in summer. In addition, Urjala has an attractively extensive selection of events: the Pentinkulman Päivät literature festival and the Mitäs Mitäs Mitäs alternative culture festival are both organised annually.
