Nuutajärvi Glass Village is the birthplace of Finnish glass design, a tourist destination and cultural center in a unique 1850s glass factory milieu. Nuutajärvi Glass Village houses an active community of glass artists and the Glass Campus, where Nuutajärvi’s 230 year history of glassmaking is continued, and top level glassblowers and glass designers are trained. For visitors, Nuutajärvi offers a wonderful way to learn about history of glass making and design as well as see the works of contemporary Finnish glass artist.
